The KHE electromagnetic contactors are intended to switch the d. c. and a. c. circuits.

The contactors are available in a number of versions to suit the requirements of temperate, tropical, sea and sea tropical climates and designed for operation under the following conditions:

ambient air temperature from minus 60 to plus 125 °C;

relative humidity of not over 98 % at an ambient air temperature of not over 40 °C without moisture condensation;

air pressure from 304 to 133.10-16 kPa (from 2280 to 10-13 mm Hg);

environment should be free from dust, evaporations, as well as from aggressive gases and vapours. Penetration of benzine, kerosene, oil, water and other fluids, as well as of metal and non-metallic chips and dirt onto the contactors is inadmissible;

vibration within the frequency range from 0.5 to 50 Hz with a 2 mm amplitude, higher than 50 to 600 Hz with a 98.1 m/s2 (10 g) acceleration;

linear (centrifugal) load lengthways the longitudinal axis of the contactor base with an acceleration of up to 245 m/s2 (25 g), and with acceleration of up to 490 m/s2 (50 g) in other directions;

repeated shocks with acceleration of 392.4 m/s2 (40 g) at a shock pulse duration ranging from 2 to 10 ms, here opening of the contacts is inadmissible;

one-time shocks with acceleration of up to 1471 m/s2 (150 g) at a shock pulse duration ranging from 1 to 3 ms and 9810 m/s2 (1000 g) at a duration of every pulse from 0.2 to 1 ms. The number of shocks is 18 for each of the measurement ranges. Here, the opening time of the closed contacts should not be over: 15 ms—at acceleration of 1471 m/s2 (150 g), and 20 ms—at acceleration of 9810 m/s2 (1000 g). At acceleration of 1471 m/s2 (150 g) the open contacts of the contactors are not permitted to get closed except for the position in which the acceleration is directed lengthways the longitudinal axis of the base from the auxiliary contact leads to the leads of the coils, here the acceleration should not exceed 735 m/s2 (75 g). When the acceleration is over 1471 m/s2 (150 g) the closing time of the open contacts should not be over 10 ms;

operating position is arbitrary and rolling with an average period from 3 to 6 s at the maximum speed of up to

90 °/s is allowed.


The main parameters of the contactors are presented in Table 1 of the Appendix.

The operating voltages of the control circuit and the resistances of the coils are given in Table 2 of the Appendix.

The operating current of the main contacts of the contactors and under parallel connection of the main contacts of the double-pole contactors in the continuous and intermittent-continuous modes are given in Table 3 of the Appendix.

The degree of protection of the contactors, except for the leads of the coils and contacts, is IP40, while that of the leads is IPOO according to GOST 14254—80.

The time the contactors are permitted to be under current is given in Table 3 of the Appendix.

The switching wear   resistance (at the d. c. operating voltages of 0.9... 1.2 utand a. c. operating voltages of 0.9... 1.1 ?/r) of the main contacts of the contactors is presented in Tables 4, 5 of the Appendix and of the auxiliary contacts, in Table 6 of the Appendix.

The mechanical wear resistance of the contactors is 100000 cycles of closings and openings.

At the stage of delivery at a temperature of the coils of 20 °C (without mechanical loads) the contactor closing voltage should be-not over 0.575 Ur, while the contactor opening voltage should be within the 0.04 ... 0.3 Ur range.

At the stage of delivery, operation and storage the voltage drop across the leads of the auxiliary contact or of each pole of the main contacts should not be over 0.4 V at the current ranging from 0.5 A to the values specified in Tables 1, 3 of the Appendix.

The insolence in the normal environmental conditions (at the-stage of delivery) should not be less than 200 MQ.

The mass is not over 360 g.
